🔔 Admin Abuse event only
The highest confirmed multiplier in GAG2. Only obtainable during admin-triggered events — extremely rare.
🔔 Blood Moon event
Turns the crop bright red with a glow. Triggered by the Blood Moon night event. One of the most valuable weather mutations.
🔔 Lightning event
The best reliably farmable mutation. Keep ripe crops in your garden when a Lightning event is live and harvest immediately after.
🔔 Starfall event
Crops get a glowing gold aura with small green stars. Comes from the rare Starfall event — a direct star hit doesn't guarantee mutation.
🔔 Snowfall event
Freezes the crop solid inside an ice block. Triggered by the Snowfall weather event. Simpler mechanic than GAG1.
🔔 Random chance or Rainbow event. Unicorn pet doubles your odds.
One of only two mutations that can appear outside of events through natural random chance. Unicorn pet doubles your Rainbow mutation rate.
🔔 Random chance. Golden Dragonfly pet doubles your odds.
The other naturally occurring mutation. Lower multiplier than Rainbow but more accessible. Golden Dragonfly pet doubles your Gold mutation rate.

How to Farm Mutations
Stay active during events
Electric, Frozen, Starstruck, and Bloodlit are all event-locked. When a weather event is live, drop everything and keep ripe crops in your garden.
Use mutation pets
Golden Dragonfly doubles Gold mutation chance. Unicorn doubles Rainbow mutation chance. Both are worth the investment on high-value seeds.
Stack ripe crops
More ripe fruits in your garden = more mutation chances per event. Avoid harvesting early — let crops ripen fully before events start.
Defend during events
A 70x Electric crop is a prime theft target. Make sure your Bee, Black Dragon, or defensive plants are active during Lightning events.

Can a crop have multiple mutations in Grow a Garden 2?
This is currently disputed. Fandom Wiki states each crop can only hold one mutation at a time. However, the growagarden2wiki.net calculator notes that certain mutations may stack additively. Until officially confirmed in-game, treat each crop as holding one mutation.
What is the best mutation to farm in GAG2?
Electric (70x) is the best reliably farmable mutation since it comes from the Lightning weather event which occurs naturally. Bloodlit (80x) from Blood Moon is slightly higher but less common. Shocked (100x) is the highest but is admin-event only.
How do I increase my mutation chances?
The Golden Dragonfly pet doubles your Gold mutation chance, and the Unicorn pet doubles your Rainbow mutation chance. For weather-based mutations, keep as many ripe crops in your garden as possible when an event starts — more ripe fruits means more chances to mutate.
Do mutations from GAG1 carry over to GAG2?
No. GAG2 is a completely separate game and has its own mutation system. Some mutation names and mechanics are similar to GAG1 but the multiplier values and triggers have changed.
