All Weather Events

🩸

Blood Moon

S Tier
~2 minutes🕐 Night only — rarest event
×80
Bloodlit

The sky turns red and beams fall randomly on all plots. The rarest weather event in GAG2. All crops on affected plots receive the Bloodlit mutation.

💡 Tip: Hard to prepare for since it's the rarest event. When you see the sky turn red, immediately check your garden and avoid harvesting until the event ends.

Lightning

S Tier
~5 minutes🕐 Any time
×70
Electric

The best reliably farmable weather event. When lightning strikes a plant, that crop gains the Electric mutation. A fuller garden means more chances to get struck.

💡 Tip: Keep all your plots full of ripe crops. Do NOT harvest during lightning — let bolts strike as many crops as possible. Electric crops are worth 70x, making each one potentially millions of Sheckles.
🌟

Starfall

A Tier
~2 minutes🕐 Any time — rare
×45
Starstruck

The sky fills with shooting stars and a moon rises overhead. Random crops gain the Starstruck mutation. One of the rarer events — when it appears, prioritize it.

💡 Tip: A direct star hit doesn't guarantee mutation — it's still random chance. More ripe crops in your garden = more chances. Drop everything when Starfall starts.
❄️

Snowfall

A Tier
~2 minutes 30 seconds🕐 Any time
×40
Frozen

Visibility drops and ice beams strike the ground. Random crops in your garden can become Frozen. Short window so react quickly.

💡 Tip: Keep plots full of unharvested crops before the event. The Frozen mutation encases crops in ice — they look different but are worth 40x base value.
🌧️

Rain

B Tier
~5 minutes🕐 Most common event

No mutation, but crops grow at 2× speed for the full duration. Decayed crops are also revived automatically. The most common and reliably useful event.

💡 Tip: Harvest anything close to ripe before rain starts, then plant new seeds to maximize the 2x growth window. Sprinklers stack with rain for even faster growth.
🌕

Gold Moon

B Tier
~2 minutes🕐 Night only

A Gold Moon appears at night and Gold Seeds spawn randomly across the map. Run to collect them by pressing E — planting Gold Seeds guarantees a Gold mutation on the grown crop.

💡 Tip: Gold Seeds are first-come first-served. Move fast when Gold Moon appears. Planting a Gold Seed guarantees a Gold mutation (10x) — worth collecting even if you already have good crops.
🌈

Rainbow Moon

B Tier
~2 minutes🕐 Night only — rare

A rainbow spans across the sky and Rainbow Seeds spawn across the map. Collecting and planting a Rainbow Seed guarantees a Rainbow mutation on the grown crop.

💡 Tip: Same strategy as Gold Moon — move fast. Rainbow Seeds give Rainbow mutation (25x), which is more valuable than Gold Seeds. One of the rarer night events.

Weather FAQ

Can multiple weather events happen at the same time?

No — only one weather event can be active at a time in Grow a Garden 2.

Can I trigger weather events manually?

No. Weather events spawn naturally on a random timer. The only exception is Admin Abuse events, where the developer manually triggers events on a live server.

Which weather event makes the most money?

Blood Moon (Bloodlit, 80x) has the highest multiplier but is the rarest. Lightning (Electric, 70x) is the best you can reliably farm since it occurs more often. Starfall (Starstruck, 45x) is a strong mid-tier option.

Do moon events (Gold Moon, Rainbow Moon, Blood Moon) only happen at night?

Yes — Gold Moon, Rainbow Moon, and Blood Moon are all night-only events. Rain, Lightning, Snowfall, and Starfall can trigger at any time during the day-night cycle.

What is the best way to prepare for weather events?

Keep your garden full of ripe, unharvested crops before any event starts. More ripe fruits = more mutation chances. For Gold Moon and Rainbow Moon, be ready to run across the map quickly to collect seeds.
