GAG2 Private Server Guide
Private servers in Grow a Garden 2 eliminate the night stealing mechanic entirely — only players you invite can join. Here's when it's worth it.
How to Create a Private Server
Open Grow a Garden 2 on Roblox.
On the game page, click the Servers tab.
Scroll down and click 'Create Private Server'.
Name your server and pay the Robux fee.
Share the server link with friends to invite them.
When to Use a Private Server
Leave high-value seeds growing without risking theft. Ideal when you have Moon Bloom or Dragon's Breath planted.
Coordinate harvesting and guild points without random players interfering.
Weather events still occur in private servers. Farm mutations without worrying about thieves stealing your 70× Electric crops.
Admin Abuse only happens in public servers. If you want developer-triggered rare events, you need to be on a public server.
Pets spawn across the map — on a private server you see every spawn without competition. Excellent for catching rare pets.
Is It Worth the Robux?
For casual players — probably not. The Gnome (50K Sheckles) and Bee pet (1M Sheckles) provide strong passive defense without spending Robux.
For players farming Super-rarity seeds (Moon Bloom 65M, Dragon's Breath 90M) — yes. A single stolen mutated crop at those values costs more than a private server. Once you're investing hundreds of millions of Sheckles per garden cycle, the protection is worth it.
