Getting Started
Is Grow a Garden 2 free to play?
Yes. GAG2 is free on Roblox. Some items require Robux (premium currency), but Sheckles — the main in-game currency earned by farming — can buy almost everything.
What is the best first seed to plant?
Carrot (1 Sheckle) — always in stock and gets you started immediately. Switch to Strawberry (10) and Blueberry (25) as soon as possible since they're multi-harvest.
How do I make Sheckles fast early game?
Plant Bamboo (700 Sheckles) the moment you see it in stock — it profits on the very first harvest (~800 sell price). Before that, stick to Carrot and Blueberry volume.
What does expanding my plot do?
More plot tiles = more seeds planted at once = more income per cycle. The first expansion costs 500 Sheckles and is the best early investment.
Stealing & Defense
When can players steal in GAG2?
Only during the night phase, which lasts approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds per day cycle. You cannot steal during daytime.
Is stealing free in Grow a Garden 2?
Yes. Unlike GAG1 where stealing required Robux, stealing in GAG2 is completely free for all players. It's a core part of the game loop.
What is the best free defense setup?
Gnome (50,000 Sheckles) at your garden entrance provides the best passive free-to-play defense. Combine with Flashbang (20K) for active defense when online.
Can I prevent stealing entirely?
Yes — either stay in your garden during night (locks it) or use a Private Server (Robux) where only invited players can join.
Mutations
Do mutations stack in Grow a Garden 2?
Yes — multiplicatively. A Bloodlit (80×) + Shocked (100×) crop multiplies to 8,000×. This is a major change from GAG1.
What is the best mutation?
Shocked (100×) is the highest multiplier but only occurs during Admin Abuse events. Electric (70×) from Lightning events is the best regularly farmable mutation.
How do I get the Gold and Rainbow mutations?
Gold and Rainbow are the only mutations that occur randomly (not tied to weather events). Golden Dragonfly pet doubles your Gold chance. Unicorn pet doubles your Rainbow chance.

How do I redeem codes in GAG2?
Open the Settings menu in-game, find the Redeem Code field, and enter the code exactly as shown. See the Codes page for step-by-step instructions.
Guilds
How much does it cost to create a guild?
99 Robux to create. Joining a guild is completely free.
How do I get the Ice Serpent pet?
Only through guild competition rewards. Top-ranking guilds at the end of each weekly cycle receive Ice Serpent variants. There is no other way to obtain it.
How are guild points calculated?
1 point per gram of your heaviest single harvest. Your guild's total = every member's best individual harvest added together.
Economy
What is the most valuable crop?
Mushroom has the highest base sell value (13,000 Sheckles/kg average). Moon Bloom (9,000/kg) is the best Super-rarity option for long-term farming.
How does crop weight affect value?
Value scales with weight squared. A 2× heavier crop is worth 4× more. Growing heavy crops is the primary money strategy at high levels.
What is the best pet for making money?
Golden Dragonfly doubles your Gold mutation chance. Unicorn doubles Rainbow chance. Both dramatically increase income on high-value seeds.
