How to Expand

1

Look for the Expansion Sign near the edge of your starting plot. It's a visible marker in your garden.

2

Interact with the sign to see the cost of the next expansion tier.

3

Pay the Sheckle cost to unlock more planting space immediately.

4

Each subsequent expansion unlocks more tiles but costs progressively more.

When to Expand vs Buy Seeds

Rule of thumb: Expand first, always.

The first expansion (500 Sheckles) is the single best investment in the early game. More plot tiles = more seeds planted = more income per cycle. Every subsequent upgrade benefits from the extra space.

Should I expand before buying better seeds?

Yes for the first 2–3 expansions. More plots with cheap seeds > fewer plots with expensive seeds. Exception: if you find Bamboo in stock (700 Sheckles), buy it before expanding — it profits on first harvest.

Should I expand before buying defense?

The first expansion (500) costs less than a Gnome (50K). Always expand first. After your first few expansions, buy defense before continuing to expand.

Is max expansion worth it?

The final expansion tier costs approximately 1M Sheckles. At that stage you're farming Epic and Legendary seeds — yes, more space is worth it. But don't rush the expensive later tiers early.
